Prof. Marco Giannini, University of Pisa – Department of Economy and Management and Scientific Coordinator of the FRAMELOG project

Prof. Marco Giannini, Scientific Coordinator of the FRAMELOG project, he is an Associate Professor of Organization Theory and HR Management at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa. He teaches in Pole of Logistic Systems of the University of Pisa and in several undergraduate and Master courses.His research interests, with numerous publications, concern, in particular, the relationships between technological evolution and organizational design, Small Medium Enterprisess, organizational change, quality, safety, organizational behaviour, logistics and Supply Chain Management.

 

Dott. Davide Albanesi, Kuehne + Nagel – National Sales & Business Development Director

Married, two children, he graduated in Economics and Commerce at the University of Turin. Over 20 years of experience in the multinational supply chain. Potentialities of Knowledge Triangle application to Logistics from a business point of view

Prof. Kamelia Stefanova, University of National and World Economy

Prof. Dr. Kamelia Stefanova, is a Professor at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia. She is a Dean of the Faculty of Applied Informatics and Statistics and a Head of the Department of Information Technology and Communications. Her professional experience includes also the positions of a Project Manager and Senior Researcher at the R&D Department NIS, Sofia University, a Director of International Banking Institute, Bulgaria, a Member of TC13 of IFIP, a reviewer of several international conferences. She has a strong background in the fields of Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, eGovernment, Banking and Finance, eBusiness, Knowledge Management, eLearning. She has been involved in more than 20 European and National Projects related to academia-industry collaboration research, intersectoral mobility of researchers, eGovernment architecture at European level, Enterprise collaborative environment development for SMEs in Europe, Innovation and SMEs, Stimulation of Business Innovation and Growth from Exploitation of Academic Research, Roadmap Development for training in the Financial Services Sector, Development of an innovative demand-oriented e-learning model in the banking sector and others.

Case studies & good practices in a collaborative-oriented environment

A Compendium of Good Practices has been developed within FRAMELOG as a result of performed research activities by all project partners.The Compendium Objectives are:

• • To highlight examples of good practices in the field of “Knowledge Triangle” approach, including details regarding the methodologies applied and results achieved.
  • To focus on culture of “Knowledge Triangle” in the academic sector for programmes in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • To propose Recommendations and Enablers for “Knowledge Triangle” approach enhancement in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

 

Ph.D Candidate Sara Scipioni, University of Pisa – Department of Economy and Management and FRAMELOG Project Manager

Her academic formation comprehends studies on Management, Cost accounting, Organization Science and Strategy applied to both private and public organizations, under the programs of University of Pisa and Firenze. She gained an international perspective with a visiting period in Hanze University, The Netherlands, and with a Master in EU projecting. After working as a consultant for a “Big Four” (PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PwC), she has become Commercial and Management Controller for a private constructing company, and then approached the field of research with the project management and research of FRAMELOG EU project. As PhD Candidate in Economics and Business Administration at the International PhD program of Pisa-Firenze-Siena Universities she focuses on the link among business and academia, and on managerial and organizational strategies related to public and private entities, for the enhancement of organizations performance. She has participated to several conferences and published papers on those topics, and she is actually working on her PhD dissertation analyzing the role of stakeholder engagement in public-private organizations networks.

Stakeholder engagement and hybrid knowledge creation process in logistics ecosystems

Apply Knowledge Triangle means engage with key stakeholders to enhance competence formation, to face global changes in Logistics. FRAMELOG Intellectual Products (Methods, Tools and Guidelines) would contribute in creating an inter-organizational knowledge-creating environment and activating relationships and consequent strategic and operative processes among the three key players of the Triangle.

 

Dott. Mario Spatafora, Finance & Banking Associazione per lo Sviluppo Organizzativo e delle Risorse Umane, – Secretary General

Mario Spatafora graduated in Law at Rome University “La Sapienza”. He worked for ABI – the Italian Banking Association – and was Director of the General Secretariat and then of the Organizational Development and Human Resources Department. Since 1994 General Secretary of “Finance & Banking – Organizational and HR Development Association”, (EFFEBI Association) in Rome (Italy). Since 2018 President of “Centre for Research and European Studies – future business” (CRES) in Rome (Italy). Director of the specialized training magazine in the financial sector “FB-Banca in Formazione” (quarterly) and Expert on European Projects Management. Member of the Board of EBTN – European Banking & Financial Services Training Association A.i.s.b.l. Past President and Vice President of this Organisation. Chairman of the EBTN Quality Assurance Committee “QuAsCo”. Member of the Board of Federmanagement. From 2003 to 2017 Professor in Organizational Development and Lifelong Learning at Roma Tre University – Department of Education.

Prof. Cristina Nicolau, Transilvania University of Brasov

Lecturer Cristina Nicolau, PhD, is leading the Romanian team representing Transilvania University of Brasov in this project. She graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Literatures (specialization: English and French Languages and Literatures) and the Faculty of Economic Sciences (specialization: Management) of Transilvania University of Brasov. She was conferred her Ph.D. in Management by Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Currently, her teaching and research are in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Small Business, Project Management and Human Resources Management. She is also running her own business in Romania.

The European Framework in Logistics: from Theory into Practice

 

Prof. Dr. Susana Val, Director of Talent Hub for Supply Chain, Zaragoza Logistics Center

Susana Val is the Director of Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC). She is also Principal Investigator for the Transport Research Group, Associate Research Professor at MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program and Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. She completed both a PhD and MSc degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Zaragoza. Her doctoral thesis was awarded as the first CEL (Spanish Logistics Center) University Prize in 2008. Furthermore, she studied the Master of Engineering and Logistics at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). In her research activity at ZLC she has led more than 20 research projects, collaborating with companies and entities such as Halliburton, Panalpina, P&G and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others. Her field of research focuses on urban logistics and distribution; specifically, in the best practices, new development policies, innovations and modeling of urban areas for the distribution of goods. She has also participated in several projects and studies related to multimodal transport and ecological corridors, with special emphasis on rail promotion and carbon footprint. Finally, she also collaborates in research related to logistics infrastructures and air freight, and its relationship with the supply chain. As a result of this research, she has published chapters in books such as Springer and articles in different journals such as Supply Chain Management Review, Transportation Planning and Technology, and International Journal of Procurement Management.

Presentation of one of the cases in the Compendium

Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a research and educational institute established by the Government of Aragon in Spain in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Zaragoza. The talk will deepen on the business model that runs the center, the indicators performed and finally, the contribution of ZLC’s curriculum to the integration of the students to the industry.

 

Nicole Geerkens, Executive Director, European Logistics Association

As an architecture draughtsman Nicole Geerkens first worked in the construction sector where she soon rolled into purchasing. Changing from the construction to the metal industry showed her the diversity of the job and soon she was responsible for the commodities in stainless steel and aluminium alloys. For many years she was the Belgian representative in the European Logistics Association. This lead to the offer to manage the association in 2000. Being multilingual in an international association was for sure not the only added value she had to offer.

Ph.D Miroslava Rakovska, Head of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chains, Bulgarian Logistics Association

Professor Miroslava Rakovska, PhD is Head of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chains and Vice-Dean in Scientific and Research Activity at the Faculty of Economics of Infrastructure, UNWEq as well as President of Bulgarian Logistics Association. She has 23 years of teaching and training experience. She has participated in and run a number of international projects, conferences and other scientific forums and has more than 50 scientific publications. Miroslava Rakovska is a member of the scientific committee of a number of international scientific journals and a member of the European Certification Board for Logistics (ECBL) at ELA.

FRAMELOG perspectives in Bulgaria: good practices and lessons learned

The presentation discusses the good practices that the Department of Logistics and Supply Chains at UNWE, the Center for Logistics Research and Training and the Bulgarian Logistics Association apply to improve the collaboration between them. The perspectives for the future development of this knowledge triangle are outlined. The benefits for students, companies and HEIs are also highlighted.

 

Prof. Federico Niccolini, University of Pisa – Department of Economy and Management; FRAMELOG Vice- Coordinator.

Federico Niccolini, Scientific Vice-Coordinator of the FRAMELOG project, is Associate Professor of Organizational Science at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa and Associate Faculty at Colorado State University.
His research interests focus on knowledge management, organizational vision and culture, cybersecurity, organizational dynamics related to sustainable development and protected areas management. He published several papers and books on these topics. He teaches in Pole of Logistic Systems of the University of Pisa and in several undergraduate, Master and Ph.D. courses.
He participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program of the US Department of State’s – Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. He coordinated several national and international (including EU funded) projects and working groups. He has been responsible for the international relations with foreign universities and for the Erasmus Program at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Macerata from 2010 to 2015.
